Our Dream Ecolodge
Chalet AIKOA has been conceived as our dream mountain home, after living full or part-time across the road in the little "La Nicola" chalet for more than 20 years. Only part way through the project did we decide to turn this in to a formal business, making some modifications to better suit rented and serviced premium accommodation for eco-sensitive travellers. Whilst we haven't been able to do every single thing we would like on a sustainability front, we have nonetheless invested heavily in our eco-choices - from the ambition to be autonomous in heating, hot water and in the future electricity via solar and geothermal, to organic paint, beds, linen throughout, and many other sometimes difficult choices.
Old Wood, New Ideas
Every facility you can imagine is built in to the new Chalet Aïkoa. There is a Games Room equipped with billiards, ping-pong and a locally Italian built hand-made wooden table football game. Badminton for kids available for the summer months, with huge wild garden area for football and general outdoor fun.
Great yoga space indoors and out on the terrace. There is also an amazing cinema room for up to 8-10 people in a dedicated big screen space with cinema-beating sound. Its better than the real cinema in our experience so far! Connect to your own Netflix or Apple TV account, or project using your own Apple device via the Apple TV.
